Do you take time out at the end of each day to reflect on how your day progressed? To evaluate how you navigated through the day’s challenges, to celebrate your victories, acknowledge your challenges and learn your lessons.
Through consistent meditation, grey matter – the precious substance responsible for memory, emotion regulation, and self-control – can increase in volume, enhancing our cognitive abilities and emotional resilience.
What happens to our legacy when those handful of humans who remember also pass over? Would all this grind, restlessness, toil, and anxiety to leave behind a legacy still be worth it?
It disrupts the quality of your life and leaves you indecisive, incapable of making choices, and at the mercy of your moods. It impacts self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth. It affects relationships with loved ones, not to mention passing on unresolved generational trauma from one generation to the next.
If we can do just this, day in and day out without succumbing to boredom or impatience, we can build a foundation for long-term success. Here are 5 ways that have worked for me to achieve those 1% shifts that can help us enhance the quality of our lives.
If we don’t sleep for one or two days, nothing will happen. But if we make it a habit, over time our cognitive functioning will be disrupted, our health will take a downturn, and our wellbeing will be compromised.
